Stephanie Raymond, Executive Director
Stephanie has been with Cascade since 1996, including 17 years serving as Associate Director. As Executive Director, she guides the daily operations of 17 full- and part-time staff. She has extensive knowledge of the 340B Federal Drug Discount Program. Stephanie also manages Cascade’s multi-million dollar funding award program to 18 Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTCs) and 7 Hemophilia Foundations located in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from Concordia University. Stephanie is married, and she and her husband, Rodney, have 2 adorable boston terriers, Roxxi and Winston. They support the Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue. Stephanie feels very fortunate and thankful for the many long-time friendships made throughout her years at Cascade. “We have an exceptional region filled with many wonderful and dedicated people”.
Chelsea Seal, Director of Operations
Chelsea is Cascade’s Director of Operations and has been with Cascade since 2015. Chelsea oversees day-to-day operations, assists the Executive Director in the administration of Cascade grants, audits, business planning, and a variety of other activities. What she enjoys most about her job is the variability of what she does – no two days are the same. Also, she feels very lucky to be surrounded by coworkers who are so committed to the community in which Cascade serves. Chelsea has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University and is now working toward her MBA from Spring Arbor University. Chelsea loves spending time with her husband, Jay, and toddler, Brekin.
Michael Altese, PharmD Pharmacy Director
Our Pharmacy Director, Mike, started at Cascade in 2007. He manages the daily operation of the pharmacy, working with patients and treatment center staff to manage our patients’ pharmacy needs and care. He also manages the inventory for Cascade and our contract Hemophilia Treatment Center partners. Mike enjoys this area of work because of the strong relationships within the bleeding disorder community.
Mike received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Michigan. He is a huge fan of University of Michigan Athletics, and is an avid runner, having completing three marathons and multiple half-marathons. He also loves hiking, particularly in Glacier National Park in Montana.
Ted Beimel, RPh, Pharmacist
Ted has worked at Cascade on a part-time basis for almost as long as Cascade has been in existence; over 20 years. He’s been a pharmacist for many years and previously worked in the hospital environment. Ted enjoys working at Cascade because it allows him talk to a lot of nice people on the phone. This is a very interesting area of pharmacy practice because hemophilia treatment medications have evolved from just a few medications years ago, to many more options.
Ted likes to spend his spare time biking and swimming, learning more about the environment, and doing carpentry. He’s remodeled 8 houses in Ann Arbor and, outside of pharmacy work, enjoys it very much.
Devin Bromley, Pharmacy Technician I
Devin was hired as a pharmacy technician in 2014. She received her Bachelor degree in Psychology with a minor in Management from Eastern Michigan University. Together with the pharmacists, Devin ensures that orders are accurate and shipped in a timely manner. She previously worked in retail pharmacy, but finds working for Cascade to be very rewarding. Specifically, because “the community is small and its members are a close knit group.” Devin spends quite a bit of time at the pool, because she loves the workout, but also because she coaches for the Ypsilanti Otters; a large group of kids aged 5-17. In her free time, she loves going out with friends.
Jordan Burkey, Pharmacy Technician/Billing Manager
Jordan has been employed with Cascade since 2015 when she took the position as pharmacy technician.
She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from the University of Michigan, and with a minor in Community Action and Social Change. Jordan’s interests are dedicated equally to medicine and patient rights. She loves hearing from patients and doing her best to serve them. In her spare time she enjoys soap-making and all things botanical.
Sue Carlini, Senior Accountant
Sue graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor degree in Accounting and began working for Cascade in 2011. As Senior Accountant, she is responsible for Cascade’s accounts payables and receivables, for financial records of Cascade’s HTC contract pharmacy programs and the recording of daily financial transactions. Sue has two daughters who are the loves of her life. She enjoys working out, solving Sudoku puzzles and baking treats for her family and for the office.
Anne Dimitry, RPh Pharmacist
Anne graduated from the University of Michigan with her BS in Pharmacy. She has worked part-time at Cascade since the mid-90’s and is one of the few who remembers when Cascade had less than 20 clients. She has previously worked in Hematology/Oncology, and in hospital and homecare pharmacies. After working in many aspects of healthcare, Anne is constantly impressed by the Hemophilia Treatment Centers’ care and finds it rewarding to see our clients grow from children to adulthood.
Anne spends most of her time on her organic farm. She focuses on growing nutrient-dense food which involves some chemistry and biology. Her family includes husband, 18 year-old son Truman, and an Australian Terrier dog.
Gail Donehue, Operations Assistant
Gail is very pleased to be working at Cascade. She joined the team in March, 2018 as Operations Assistant. Prior to working at Cascade, Gail was employed with Hewlett Packard Company (HP) for 29 years in various positions. She enjoys traveling and finding new adventures with her daughters. She also enjoys gardening and walking in the beautiful Ann Arbor neighborhoods. Gail “looks forward to assisting our patients and working with her new co-workers here at Cascade!”
Kirk Haddas, PharmD, Pharmacist
Kirk is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree. His previous pharmacy experience includes hematology/oncology, investigational drugs and pharmaceutical industry research and development.
Since joining Cascade in July 2019, Kirk has enjoyed becoming part of such a welcoming and patient-focused team who goes out of their way to work together, with healthcare partners and patients in the community.
Kirk is a “car guy” and likes talking shop with others. He also enjoys spending time with his family doing a variety of activities including movies, concerts, football games or just hanging out and having dinner together.
Colleen Joiner, LMSW Clinical Care, Education and Outreach Manager
Always a Spartan, Colleen attended Michigan State University as an undergraduate and then Wayne State University to receive her Master in Social Work degree. She has worked with individuals and families living with chronic illness throughout the span of her career including HIV/AIDS and geriatric health. Colleen began working in the bleeding disorder community in 2001, and continues to appreciate working with such caring and resilient group of people. She has 15 years of experience managing educational programming, psychosocial events and support services for families and individuals living with a bleeding disorder. She currently provides patient insurance navigation, education and outreach with Cascade. Colleen loves to travel and explore new cultures as well as spend quality time with friends and family.
Paul Kasdorf, Medical Insurance Billing Specialist/ Internal IT Support
Paul joined the Cascade team in 2018 and enjoys working with such a compassionate and dedicated staff in helping the community Cascade serves. He obtained his Certified Professional Coding certification from AAPC. Prior to Cascade, he was a project manager at L-3 Communications working on projects for federal, state, and automotive clients. Whenever time permits, Paul loves to go on road-trips and exploring our national parks with his family. Paul is a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Amy Luczak, PharmD, Pharmacist
Amy attended both Calvin College and Madonna University before completing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Michigan. She has pharmacy experience in a variety of settings including home care, hospital, retail, and long-term care. Amy has worked for Cascade on a part-time and as-needed basis since 2000. Amy “loves to be part of the team of patients, caregivers, HTC staff and Cascade staff working to minimize any inconvenience to having a bleeding disorder.” In her spare time, Amy likes taking day trips throughout Michigan, Ohio, and Ontario with her family. She also likes hiking through gorgeous Michigan trails.
Mary McClure, Office Manager
Mary began working at Cascade in 2012. As Office Manager, she is usually the first voice you hear when you call Cascade. She keeps the office flowing and makes sure our patients are directed to the appropriate staff. Mary is certified in Medical Billing and Coding. After learning about the Cascade mission and witnessing the compassion and hard work of the Cascade staff, she decided that she wanted to be part of Cascade. Outside of work Mary enjoys watching old movies, spending time with her family and serving her church.
Joanna Pangilinan, PharmD, BCOP, Compliance Officer
An Illinois native, Joanna attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She graduated from St Louis College of Pharmacy and completed a pharmacy practice residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She has worked in a variety of hospital settings, most recently the University of Michigan Cancer Center. Joanna has worked at Cascade since 2008 as an as-needed pharmacist. She currently works in the role of compliance officer ensuring that Cascade maintains its high accreditation standards. In her free time, she enjoys visiting Chicago, reading fiction and trying out new recipes on her husband and three daughters.
Stephanie Sibrel, BSN, RN, Clinical Care, Education and Outreach Manager
Stephanie is the newest member of Cascade’s team, joining September 16, 2019. Stephanie is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience in the hospital and ambulatory setting. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Spring Arbor University. She has an immense passion for the bleeding disorder community having worked as the Nurse Coordinator for the Northwest Ohio Hemophilia Center in Toledo, Ohio. Stephanie loves volunteering in the community and has served at Camp Bold Eagle, on the FAMOHIO Board, and at multiple Northwest Ohio Hemophilia Foundation events. Stephanie lives in northwest Ohio with her husband, two sons and Golden Lab. She has 3 adult stepchildren and an infant grandson, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, baking, serving at her church and traveling to Michigan’s many wonderful lakes. Stephanie will continue to cheer for her favorite football team, THE Ohio State Buckeyes, despite being surrounded by Wolverine and Spartan fans!! She is very excited to serve the entire region in her new role!
Debbie Whelan, LMSW, Clinical Care Manager
Debbie has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. She has worked in a variety of settings including foster care, mental health, developmental disabilities and chronic illness. Debbie has worked in medical settings for the past 20 years including Henry Ford Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Michigan. She joined Cascade in 2009 as a Social Worker where she enjoys helping families and treatment centers navigate a myriad of insurance challenges. Debbie lives with her husband, two teenage kids and two cats. She enjoys camping, baking and is an avid Detroit Tigers fan.
