Community Support
As a Federal grantee under the Maternal Child Health Bureau (MCHB), Cascade is recognized as a 340B covered entity, and an HTC with a pharmacy program. Cascade adheres to strict and detailed federal record-keeping and reporting requirements to ensure that 340B program income is used to carry out the purposes of the MCHB’s grants and subgrants. Through Cascade’s long-standing participation in the 340B program, we have been able to use all of our program income, after expenses, to provide over $76 million in total since 1997 in support for direct patient care services, education, and family/individual support services for patients of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana HTCs. This year alone, we have provided over $6 million dollars to our region.
